Adolescent Development And Participation (ADAP) Programme

The Government of Nepal’s recently launched National Plan of Action for Adolescent Development and Participation provides the platform for UNICEF’s new ADAP programme. The programme seeks to ensure the systematic, ethical, meaningful and regular participation of adolescents at critical levels to make adolescent-sensitive national policies, plans and budgets. ADAP also aims to empower adolescents to initiate and sustain activities and interventions that create positive transformation in their families, communities and society as well as bring about realization of their rights.

Where We Work

6 UNICEF priority districts: Mugu, Humla, Achham, Bajura, Saptari and Dhanusha, along with other districts with pockets of at risk and vulnerable adolescents.

Our Main Partners

National Planning Commission, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Department of Women and Children under the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare. UN agencies, including UNFPA, UNWOMEN, WHO, ILO and UNESCO, International and national NGOs, media, inter-faith communities, and adolescent girls and boys.
